Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub, an American comedian and actress is often referred to as Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents, she began her career as a child performer shortly after immigrating to the United States. She gained notoriety for her appearances in AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016, and then from 2020. She was a regular host on Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally she was a regular series on Yahoo! After being cast in the unaired TV pilot for New Warriors, Vayntrub also plays Squirrel Girl in Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was Jewish and born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At the age of two she emigrated with her parents to U.S. to escape antisemitism. She moved to West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, but she dropped out of the school in her sophomore year. She earned an GED and then went to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She studied improv comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
